Conformity, or nothing?
Is it an evil or a dirty word? An evil that is increasingly prevalent in the 21st century in our democracies and among their citizens. Society, by definition, is about knowing how to live together. But society is not a form of absolute truth, as each and every one of us is different.
Life is neither black nor white; it is nuanced by differing opinions and different personalities. Just because I disagree with someone doesn't mean I have to hate them. We must relearn how to live together with our differences, but also with our inner truths, by reintegrating the individuality of each person. Why? Because we live in such an individualistic society that, paradoxically, we forget to accept the individuality of the other person and gender.
Because, let's be honest, my truth is no less true than yours. Just as your truth is no less true than mine. It's all a matter of choice. Truth is a perspective, while reality is a fact. You didn't believe me? The moon is round, isn't it? But what about your favorite color? Everyone should have the right to reclaim their beliefs while respecting those of others .
So the question we can ask ourselves is: Should we blindly trust the current situation?
It is not the state of a nation that makes us a nation, but its citizens who make a nation great. For by definition, a state is created by its citizens. In other words, it is not the people who work for their government, but the government that works for its people.

But then, what is a conspiracy theorist? That remains vague. But one thing is certain. If being a conspiracy theorist means thinking differently, opening oneself to the world and to others, and wanting to be better informed instead of blindly accepting statements as if there were only one truth, then yes, everyone has the right to be a conspiracy theorist. Because there can be no democracy without debate. And there can be no debate without information that has been verified beforehand.
For far too long now, we have been told what to think and how to think. We unwittingly maintain a cognitive dissonance regarding information and what is real and what is not. Yet, information is true power. In the wrong hands, it can literally manipulate crowds.
Consider the following example:
"If a lie has been repeated frequently enough, it becomes part of our reality, and if this reality has been learned by everyone, it becomes the truth. "
This statement isn't from a fairy tale, but rather from the mouth of Joseph Goebbels, one of the most controversial manipulators, one of the most influential ministers, and one of Adolf Hitler's closest friends.
This is significant because it means that we are all susceptible to influence to some degree. But just because we have traditions doesn't mean they are morally acceptable, or that there is only one way to live or love.
We only need to look back and consider, for example, slavery, the denial of women's suffrage, the idea that white men are superior, or the right to abortion. Today, we can all agree, it seems ridiculous to us in the West .
Don't let anyone tell you what to do, what to think, or how to live. Be the master of your thoughts and your body, and learn to unlearn so you can be a little more yourself each day. Don't conform. Be yourself. Your differences are a strength and your greatest asset for shining, existing, and asserting yourself. Awakening to a collective consciousness about our hard-won individual freedoms seems to be one of the best solutions for a bright future.
